Bauxite deposit is a product of residual weathering process in tropical and subtropical climates. Bauxite are almost the only source for production of aluminum.

Bauxite largely consist of the Al-minerals as a trihydrate(gibbsite Al₂O₃3H₂O) or mono hydrate (Al₂O₃H₂O Boehmite and Diaspore).

Industrial Uses :

Aluminum industry for national defense, airplane, electric machine, chemical industry, and daily material using. Precision casting of airplane, communication, instrument, medical machine, and else.
Refractory material making for high heat resistance of over 1780 degree, strong chemical condition, and fine physical feature.
Fiber making for light weight, high refractory resistance, stable condition, and low vibrating condition.
Chemical compound of aluminum cement, grinding material, chemical industry.
Bauxite is also a potential source of by products like titanium, vanadium and columbium.
